Our World Today…

To this day, in the world we live in, in every government, people periodically elect someone, only to replace them after a few years. It is much like in the past, but this time in a more rational manner. There are no wars involved, yet the same events continue to unfold. People have attained, to some extent, the freedom they sought, but they have not reached the core of the matter: their true happiness.

Even today, many people suffer from hunger and lack food to eat, while others possess enough wealth to feed the entire population of a city… There are still those who live in distant lands without adequate resources, struggling in harsh conditions, and if they fall ill, they have no medicine for treatment… whereas others enjoy all possible amenities. Many young people have no spouse with whom to find comfort and no money to create a prosperous life for themselves… while some possess such vast wealth that hundreds could live off it…

Both groups live their lives in some form, yet some have far more than they need, and others have nothing at all. Those who have abundance, though often indifferent to the impoverished, are themselves beset by other problems. Some face daily anxieties over potential bankruptcy or deceit by their partners. Others suffer from incurable diseases that even all the money in the world cannot remedy. Some experience betrayal from their children, who make their lives unpleasant. Some face estrangement from their spouses, leaving them alone.

Amid all this, countless individuals die every day from poverty, illness, sorrow, suicide, sudden death, or at the hands of enemies. Despite the claims of a communistic ideology, detached from truth and spirituality, asserting that all rights are equally distributed among people, no one attains their rightful share, and justice is nowhere realized. Even the wealthy suffer—from the poverty of affection, from a monotonous material existence limited to eating and sleeping, and from a life devoid of higher purpose, spiritual growth, and the understanding of human perfection. Every day, dozens take their own lives out of emptiness and depression, and humanity’s happiness becomes increasingly unattainable. Human existence declines, and no one can halt this downward spiral of decay. No one achieves the happiness they desire. Perhaps humanity has seemingly freed itself from the yoke of governments, but all the injustices mentioned still befall the people, leaving no escape from it. Each day, human life becomes worse than the day before. In the midst of this, the powerful rise to positions of authority through deceitful promises. First, they gain popularity through various pledges, and in the end, they dominate the people through the force of power and oppression. Exhausted by lies and deceit, the people laboriously seek another leader, hoping perhaps this one can relieve them from the weight of tyranny and bring them closer to the happiness that has been their long-standing aspiration.

This proceeds in the same manner, and day by day, people grow increasingly despairing of ever being freed from the burden of oppression and attaining true happiness. The promises of the powerful have become repetitive and worn out for them. Yet there is no alternative—they are compelled, day after day, to seek someone who might offer relief.

The Path to Salvation!!

The path to such happiness may not be clear to everyone. If people were to find someone who was aware of everything—of all sciences and even the hearts of men—and he gained mastery over the entire world, uniting all nations under his command, and with his knowledge and power established equality among all social classes, distributing the wealth of the world among all people, and using his knowledge to determine cures for all incurable diseases.  With insight into the hearts of humanity, he would not place traitors in positions of governance, and if anyone betrayed, he would immediately remove them with his authority. His knowledge would be so vast that he would be aware of the slightest injustice anywhere in the world, sending his agents to secure the rights of the oppressed and preventing any wrongdoing before it occurred. By virtue of his knowledge, the treasures and mines of the earth would be revealed, and their wealth distributed among all people. Finally, if there were such a person, because of his wisdom and power, rain would fall on arid lands, wild animals would be tamed and live peacefully alongside humans, microbes would be eradicated, and no disease would remain among the people. Ultimately, the entire world would be governed under one pure, just, and powerful authority. In such a scenario, no conflict or inequality would exist in the world. If such a society—united in justice and well-being due to a single global governance led by a righteous and just individual—were to exist, and if this person were always at the helm, with no one able to seize power from him, then without a doubt, the happiness humanity has sought for thousands of years would finally be attained forever.

Is it Possible?!

At first glance, such words may seem nothing more than a fantasy or a fable, and one might lament that such a powerful, just, and beloved individual does not exist—and that it may be impossible for humanity ever to attain such happiness.

However, perhaps a moment of pause and reflection on this matter would do no harm.

Throughout thousands of years, there have always been religions and faiths claiming that the Creator of humanity is a unique being who brought mankind into existence and multiplied it on Earth. All religions recognized as heavenly have emphasized this point, even though some of their followers have acted contrary to it. Yet, up to the present day, as people have reached a certain level of intellectual development, most believe in the existence of a Creator for this universe, even if they differ in how they describe Him. As mentioned earlier, humanity has achieved freedom to some extent and has liberated itself from the yoke of governments. Nevertheless, people move farther from true happiness each day. No matter who they place in positions of power or governance, they still fail to achieve what they desire and are deceived.

Thus, we understood that the path to salvation lies in having the entire world under the command of a just individual—one who establishes equality among all people, who, through his knowledge and wisdom, ensures that unworthy individuals do not assume positions of authority, and, in short, who brings complete happiness to humanity. Yet, we also recognized that finding such a person, whom humanity could truly identify and follow, is almost unimaginable and seemingly impossible.

Now, let us step away from our thoughts, imaginations, and attempts to find such a person, and consider this matter from another perspective.

If we believe in the existence of a Creator who brought the universe into being, who possesses all knowledge and sciences, and who presently maintains the order of the entire cosmos—governing galaxies and planets in perfect harmony—then even a close examination of our own Earth shows that all natural processes operate in complete order, without flaw, except for the disturbances caused by human interference, which have consistently resulted in destruction and pollution. This is because humans are endowed with free will and often fail to submit themselves to the order of the Creator, rebelling against it; as a result, they remain distant from justice and true happiness.

In any case, what is certain is that the One and Only Creator of the universe, the powerful being who governs all of existence, is capable of creating a human being endowed with all knowledge and sciences, aware even of the hearts of other humans, knowledgeable in the cure of all diseases, and possessing the power to bring the entire world under the shadow of justice and equality, leading all to true happiness and the full realization of human perfection.

You may have Heard!!

So it is possible—but how can one be certain of the existence of such a person?!

Since the time humanity set foot on this Earth, heavenly religions have existed to guide people, sent by the Creator of the universe, and these religions have always been led and supervised by their respective leaders. Yet none of these religions have succeeded in exerting complete influence over the world. Nevertheless, it has always been the aspiration of the leaders of heavenly religions that the world be united under the command of a single power, a single faith, and a single governance founded on justice, fairness, and righteousness.

The point intended to be conveyed here is that all religions knew and believed that, hundreds of years later, a heavenly man, born among the people of this Earth, would emerge to bring all the inhabitants of the world under his command, establishing justice, equality, and complete happiness for them. Even religions with fewer followers, knowing that attaining the happiness they sought requires the existence of such a person and such a governance, believe in the existence of this individual. Among the religions that today have many followers worldwide are Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, and others—all of which affirm the existence of such a person. Looking back at the background of these religions, we see that in most of them, miracles, extraordinary events, and prophecies have occurred, and through witnessing these phenomena, countless people have come to believe in these faiths. Yet the followers of each religion differ greatly in their beliefs and in the practice of their rites. However, if we were to point to one belief shared by all these religions—their most important commonality—it is the belief in the existence of a heavenly and powerful man who, one day, will deliver the world from the dark shadows of oppression, conflict, corruption, and misery, bringing happiness and prosperity to all people.

Thus, the majority of people in today’s world, even if they are not fully aware of the teachings of their own religion, consciously or unconsciously believe in the existence of such a person according to the tenets of their faith.

The Heavenly Man in Religious Perspectives

In different religions, this justice-spreading figure is referred to by various names; yet all are united in the belief that he will come to save the world, and this time, truly, the world will be saved forever. From this understanding, it is evident that the belief of all religions ultimately points to a single individual. In most religions, the emphasis is primarily on the very existence of such a person, while few notable attributes are described. Among these, Islam, whose history extends over fourteen hundred years, is the richest religion in terms of its sources and books outlining religious laws. One of the most important issues to which this faith has consistently given attention is the emergence of a justice-spreading individual to save the world. Islam has detailed all the characteristics of this person, the manner of his appearance, and the way he will bring the world under his authority without harming innocent people. It even describes the condition of humanity prior to his emergence. Remarkably, many of the events that this religion has foretold over the past 1,400 years regarding this matter have already come to pass, which will be addressed later.

More Attributes and Qualities of the Master of Goodness and Spreader of Global Happiness

What has been said about that justice-spreading figure, whose realm will encompass the entire world and where no borders will exist between nations, is as follows.

He is the eleventh child of Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), the successor and guardian of the Prophet of Islam, and the son of Fatimah (peace be upon her), daughter of the Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah (peace be upon him and his family). His title is Al-Mahdi, which means “the Guided One.” This signifies that he possesses all powers and knowledge and is protected from any form of misguidance or weakness. He is the ninth-generation descendant of Hussain ibn Ali (peace be upon them), the very person who, alongside 72 companions, his family, and children, rose against the tyrants of his time to fight oppression and corruption.

Hussain and his companions were besieged, and water was cut off from them and his young children, leaving them in extreme thirst. He pleaded with the enemies for water for his six-month-old child, saying: “If you do not love me, I have risen for your salvation and at your request. At least give this child water.” Yet they pierced the throat of his six-month-old infant with a trident, killing him, and attacked Hussain, murdering him and his companions, while taking his wife and young children captive and plundering their possessions. However, his martyrdom sparked a wave of awakening and quest for justice among the people, which eventually led to the dismantling of the tyrannical regime, and his uprising has since served as a noble example for other freedom-seekers and justice advocates throughout history. Today, millions of people from around the world gather in Karbala on the anniversary of his martyrdom, commemorating him with grief and mourning. Very few in the world today do not recognize the name Hussain ibn Ali, the ancestor of this global justice-spreading figure. After Hussain ibn Ali (peace be upon him), his son Ali ibn Hussain (peace be upon him), who was ill during the time of war and was not harmed by God’s will, became the fourth successor of the Prophet of Islam and the leader of the people. However, after some time, he too was poisoned and killed. Subsequently, his children were killed one by one, unjustly and cruelly, so that, due to their popularity among the people, they would not seize governance from the usurpers and bring the world under their leadership, using their knowledge, wisdom, and power to save it from oppression. Eventually, Al-Mahdi, the son of Hassan ibn Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Musa ibn Ja’far ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Hussain, was born. His birth occurred while his father’s home was surrounded by hostile forces and constantly under surveillance; had they known of his birth, they would certainly have killed him. Yet by the will of the Creator, they remained unaware of this subject. Eventually, his father was also poisoned, because the rulers were always conscious of the popularity of the Prophet’s successors among the people and knew that if the people supported them, no kingdom or tyrannical rule would remain. The reason the eleven successors of the Prophet were unable to establish a unified global government was the lack of popular support. The will of the One Creator has always been that people choose to submit to the divine government of justice voluntarily. Thus, although these eleven successors had the power—by coercion or by extraordinary, supernatural means—to establish such a government, they submitted to the will of God and did not do so. This was so that humanity would one day realize that without following the pure and chosen servants of God on Earth—those endowed with divine knowledge and extraordinary powers by the Creator—establishing a government of universal happiness and justice is beyond anyone’s ability. People must willingly submit to them.

However, the last successor—the twelfth successor of the Prophet of Islam—is the one whose coming all the divine prophets foretold. After his father was poisoned and his existence became known to the enemies, who intended to eliminate him as well, he disappeared from the sight of the people by the will of God, whose will surpasses all. This occurred because it was decreed by the Creator that he remain in this world until the day when God’s promise is fulfilled: a day when the world will be united under justice. On that day, the people of the world will have reached a level of intellectual and spiritual maturity such that they themselves will ask God for his return. Unlike what befell his noble forefathers, he will no longer be wronged; people will submit to his command, and he will lift them from the burden of misery, guiding them to eternal happiness and prosperity.

This was a brief account of the life of that heavenly man. Now, let us learn about his attributes and the manner in which he will establish a unified global government:

A More Detailed Description of his Characteristics

He (“the Global Justice-Spreader” or “Al-Mahdi”) possesses all knowledge, and at the moment of his creation, God granted him complete wisdom so that he could guide the people of the world in all matters and truths, leading them to true happiness.

Like his noble ancestors, who possessed such powers and occasionally exercised them, everything occurs according to his will, and all is subject to his command, even if it contradicts the natural order. Therefore, if he so willed, in an instant all the tyrants of the world could be destroyed. Yet, because the Creator has determined that people must willingly accept the divine government of justice, he refrains from doing so, obeying God’s command. He is exceedingly compassionate, forgiving all who believe in him at the time of his appearance. He possesses all the miracles of the prophets before him and presents these miracles as proof to the followers of all those faiths. At the time of his emergence, Jesus Christ—the leader of the two billion Christians in the world today—will descend from heaven to serve him, following his lead, and in doing so, Christians will also come to believe in him.

In the books of Islamic law, it is stated that a time will come when corruption will spread across the world. Betrayal among people will become widespread, and everyone will focus solely filling their stomach at any cost. Righteous and virtuous individuals will be humiliated, while the wicked and tyrannical will rise to power and dominate the people. Poverty will become prevalent. Despite the abundance of resources, diseases will emerge for which no cure is known. People will face so many hardships—from the empty promises of the powerful, the deceit of those seeking authority, from wars, destruction, and poverty—that they will become exhausted and reach the realization that a divine savior must deliver them from this misery. Then, at the peak of these hardships, a person will appear whom all people will recognize as the savior. Various signs have been described for his emergence, one of the most important being that, at the time of his appearance, a loud voice will be heard throughout the world, drawing everyone’s attention. Then, the call of Al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) will reach the ears of all people, and the inhabitants of every land will hear his voice from the heavens in their own language, as he speaks directly to them.

He will then begin his journey from Mecca and summon his companions from across the world to carry out his mission. These companions, of whom very few are aware before his emergence, live among the people, yet they ride on dense, high-speed clouds, traveling from all corners of the globe to their master. Subsequently, other people, in groups, will move toward him to accept his governance. He will treat everyone with kindness, and even the oppressors and usurpers of people’s rights, if they surrender and cease their disobedience, will be forgiven. However, the worldly power-seekers, who refuse to abandon oppression and domination, will rise to battle against the justice-spreader. This will ignite a war unlike any before, which will conclude swiftly. In this conflict, no innocent blood will be shed. As Al-Mahdi’s (peace be upon him) companions, before any oppressor can kindle the flames of war, will reach the aggressors on rapid clouds and eliminate them—or, using remote means with extraordinary powers, destroy them without harming a single innocent person. These wars will last for some months, and once the fires of conflict subside, the entire world will be united under a single government. Within eight years, the world’s system will be completely transformed, and everything will be unlike before. It is said that all knowledge before the appearance of Al-Mahdi is two letters, and after his emergence, it will expand to twenty-seven complete letters. Within these eight years, all poverty, disease, and drought will vanish. Predatory and harmful creatures will become tame before humans, allowing children to play safely with snakes and scorpions. Humans will bear many children, and each individual will live for at least three hundred years. Resources and technology will be so advanced and updated that people will laugh at the technological means of the era prior to Al-Mahdi’s (peace be upon him) appearance. Humans will fly to the heavens effortlessly, alongside angels, without the need for airplanes. Angels will live among people and assist them in many tasks. No one will fear oppression or injustice. All will live in peace and righteousness. Not a single impoverished person will remain on Earth. All the earth’s mines and treasures will be revealed and made accessible for people to use. The climate across the planet will be pleasant and temperate, and every joy and happiness that anyone has ever wished for will come to fruition. This state of prosperity and the global government will endure until the end of the world and continue into the afterlife.

Can One See Him?

According to the belief of hundreds of millions, Al-Mahdi, the Savior of humanity, currently exists in this world. He has lived for over 1,180 years on this very Earth, yet the power of his spirit transcends the planet. The reason for his extraordinary longevity is that he possesses all knowledge and wisdom, including complete awareness of the harms and benefits affecting the human body. If one maintains all the conditions necessary for bodily health, there is no reason for death to occur. He is not absent from the eyes of people; rather, the reason for his occultation is that it is the divine wisdom of God that no one should recognize him at this time. Otherwise, why would a being of flesh, blood, and bone not be visible?

But let us return to the main question: is it possible to see him? Of course, since no one knows him, it is not possible to find him in order to see him. However, if he wishes to reveal himself to someone, this becomes possible. As mentioned earlier, he is aware of the hearts of people throughout the world. Therefore, if a heart turns toward him, he too becomes aware of it, and through this connection, he may show kindness to that person, reveal himself to them, and fulfill their needs.

What has happened thousands of times and has been proven through experience is that many people have seen him in various forms and appearing as different individuals—sometimes in dreams, sometimes while awake; sometimes by Muslims, and sometimes by non-Muslims. Numerous people, who were on the brink of death, have had him come to their side and grant them healing. Countless others, stranded in deserts or facing extreme hardships without anyone to help, have been rescued by him, as he responded to their cries and delivered them from danger.

If ever you find yourself in distress or suffering, with no one to turn to, or if you fall ill, call upon him from the depths of your heart, and know that he hears your voice. He will surely come to your aid.

He, like other human beings, has a physical body; yet, through the power and mastery of his spirit, he can simultaneously manifest multiple bodies in different locations, each with a distinct form, and appear to various individuals around the world who are in need of his help.

The Ultimate and Most Crucial Point

However, based on extensive research into the state of the world today and a careful study of the conditions preceding his emergence, it can now be stated with certainty that this very time—the present era in which we live—is that period. Today, after nearly twelve hundred years of the occultation of the Savior of humanity, we have reached a time in which the characteristics of the current world perfectly align with those described in the sacred books and Islamic legal texts regarding the period immediately preceding his appearance, as we briefly discussed earlier. Now, the single most important matter that must occur in the world is that all hopes turn toward such a person, that everyone recognizes that such a being exists, and that humanity collectively beseeches the Creator of the universe to place the world under the influence of the justice of this Divine Savior—who possesses all the miracles of the prophets throughout human history—and through him, bring all people on Earth to true prosperity and happiness.

With hope for his emergence, let us all pray together: O God, bring forth the Savior.
